These Are Their Stories

Speaking of law school: which piece of Law & Order folk art is your favorite? I’m partial to ‘A Young Woman Escapes a Polygamist Cult’, although ‘Two Teens Disappear from a Museum’ is pretty sweet, too. The exhibit of L&O artwork closed a few days ago, but you can still buy a few prints here.

In case you’re thinking this is a bit thin for a blog post, here’s a song about Pam Grier doin’ hard time in prison:

Pam Grier – Long Time Woman
from The Big Doll House, 1971
It’s from The Big Doll House, a 1971 film that follows “six female inmates throughout daily life in a gritty, unidentified supra-tropical prison. Later the same year the film Women in Cages featured a similar story and setting, much the same cast, and was shot in the same abandoned prison buildings.” So now you have a couple of movie recommendation for date night, too.
